About Pineapple Wine
Pineapple grows across the Philippines, and it turns up everywhere: sliced on a stick at the roadside, simmered into pininyahang manok, stacked in golden pyramids at the market. It is sweet, sharp and juicy all at once, a fruit that tastes like a warm day.
Pineapple Wine brings that brightness to the glass. It is the sunniest of the three ANA wines, full of ripe fruit with a lively, tangy edge, and meant for sharing. Chill a bottle for a long weekend lunch, pour it for the friends who say they don't drink wine, and let the fruit do the talking.
On the nose, fresh-cut pineapple, a touch of citrus peel and ripe mango. The palate is bright and juicy, with golden tropical fruit and a lively, tangy edge. The finish is clean and zesty, with pineapple lingering at the end.
Serve well chilled, at 6 to 8°C. Lovely with pork barbecue skewers, sweet and sour fish or a fiery Bicol Express.
